My reading rate has slowed down considerably over the last few weeks, which is fine. It means I've been re-engaging with the world some more. There's still been plenty of bookish comings and goings. This week I've received more than my fair share of books from publishers; it's a part of my job that I'll… Continue reading My week in books
I'm easing myself back into the blog with a bit of a round up with lots of pictures of what I've been reading and acquiring this week. You know, before I go all hardcore and attempt an actual book review. This week I have read comics and fiction and memoir. I've also had some lovely books… Continue reading My bookish week
I've been a sporadic book blogger at best in recent times. It's probably not a huge surprise to those that know me in real life. The last year or more has been one of upheaval and change and huge life decisions. My life at the end of 2015 is not the same as the one… Continue reading The personal one

But two weeks later, and the pile is 90% complete.I read and loved and blogged about The Something by Rebecca… Continue reading Read, Reading, and To Read
My wildly over-optimistic reading plan for this week involves five books. My bedtime book is Anna Freeman's brilliant romp through the brothels and prize-fights of Georgian England, A Fair Fight. This book is on The Green Carnation Prize longlist (more of which to come), and conveniently, was also on my shelves waiting to be read. I'm… Continue reading Reading This Week
I'm a bit shocked to realise I haven't blogged at all for a month. I hadn't intended to take a break; other stuff has just got in the way of writing up reviews. I now have a rather intimidating pile of books I've read but not reviewed...There are some real treasures in that pile, I'm… Continue reading An Unplanned Hiatus
Just a very quick post to say that The State We're In by Adele Parks is out today in paperback. If you haven't read it yet I'd definitely recommend it. It's a gorgeous, romantic story with a killer ending. If you'd like to know a bit more, my review can be found here.
